Good evening CUPE 454 members below is a bulletin released by the City of Delta. All facilities in Delta will be closed tomorrow. Please report to work as usual if you are scheduled and there will be work for you to perform.
I have been in talks with the Mayor and City manager this afternoon to discuss the steps going forward.
We will be meeting with the employer over the next several Days to discuss these next steps. The employer is committed to working with the union to put processes in place and we will update the membership as things unfold.

Delta Recreational Facilities Closed – Effective Monday March 16, 2020

The City of Delta has made containing the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) a top priority and has an extensive pandemic plan to address concerns posed by the virus.
Under the direction of Mayor George V. Harvie, the City will close all recreation centres, community centres, ice arenas, swimming pools, art centres, archives, senior centres, and suspend senior bus services effective tomorrow Monday March 16th, 2020.
